Every community has a holiday celebrated in different styles, dates, and reasons to Celebrate. For instance In Kenya,

  • New Year’s Day 1st January- Mwaka Mpya
  • Good Friday As per the Gregorian calendar- pasaka
  • Easter Monday As per the Gregorian calendar-pasaka
  • Labour Day 1st May- siku ya wafanyikazi duniani
  • Madaraka Day* 1st June- sikukuu ya Madaraka
  • Mashujaa Day* 20th October- (Heroes day)- Siku ya Mashujaa
  • Jamhuri (Independence) Day* 12th December
  • Christmas Day 25th December- Krisimasi
  • Boxing Day 26th December- Siku ya Utamaduni as per Kenya
  • Idd – ul – Fitr- Iddi
